How can i make my headlights clear again?

i have a 98 ford, and the headlight covers are fading and discolored, can they be make clear again, thanksHow can i make my headlights clear again?
You Bet!! Try Mother's Plastic cleaner. There's plenty of products out there. Actually, I have used turtle wax chrome cleaner very lightly and it worked just fine.

the best thing you can do is to ger rubbing compound and either buff them by hand , or if you know how to use a buffer , than do that, but be carfu with the paintm it will not make them look brand new again , buy it will get pretty close, dont use the stuff they sell for that , it doesnt work as good , and after , u r done , put a coat of wax(regular car wax) on it
They make a paste to put on a buffing wheel you can get at your parts store ';mothers'; makes a good one. Or if youre strapped for cash, a white abrasive toothpaste like Crest does a good job too, gels don't work. You can take a rag and a little toothpaste and polish your watch crystal too by the way.
If really rough, use wet sandpaper starting from 400 grit and go up to 1500 grit before the final buff with a very fine rubbing compound for auto paint. If you have the patience finish it with CD scratch remover compound.

Plastic...buy new ones, glass you may be able to clean them up....Ive tried cleaning my 98 dodge and they are burned from the inside....
I've tried Crest toothpaste and a rag and it did wonders on my RAV4 plastic headlights
