How do you clear a fogged or deteriorated plastic headlight lens?

I have polished them, but just a few months later they were just as bad. Replacing them will be the best option. How do you clear a fogged or deteriorated plastic headlight lens?
use wet sand paper 1200 grit rub it out with water. Be sure to have water running very slow over the head lamp, palm the sand paper rub, apply pressure as needed. How do you clear a fogged or deteriorated plastic headlight lens?
another way is to pour some liquid acrylic into the lens and swish it around and let it dry... sometimes this will do the trick... will sometimes remove hairline cracks as well.
You can use polishing compound and a rag.... but it is better to replace the plastic headlight.
you can buy stuff called plastx to clean the lens....super fine sandpaper or even toothpaste will take the stuff off the lens too a certain degree
replacement is best

buffing is sometimes possible.
You don't.

Replace it with a new one, Mr. Thrifty.
some parts houses have a head lamp cleaner/buffer,buy you are likely to have to just replace.
The multi step polishing kits do work, they just take a long time. I was surprised myself.
